Session Description
Lakes provide high-resolution, continuous, and datable sedimentary records that are essential for reconstructing environmental and climatic changes during the Quaternary. This session invites contributions that explore lacustrine systems as natural archives, including studies on sedimentology, geochemistry, microfossils, ancient DNA, and multi-proxy reconstructions. We welcome research that addresses past hydrological variability, vegetation dynamics, human-environment interactions, and methodological advances in lake-sediment core analysis and dating techniques. Contributions from all geographic regions and time scales are encouraged to foster interdisciplinary discussion and global comparisons of lake records.
