Geomorphometry applies mathematical and computer-based tools to quantitatively analyse the morphological attributes of landforms, improving the mapping and understanding of hydrology, ecology, and terrain morphology. It is a foundational tool for geomorphological mapping and understanding landscape evolution on Earth and other planetary bodies. The availability of high-resolution DEMs has opened new dimensions in morphometric analysis, leading researchers to generate exhaustive morphometric datasets.

This session invites contributions on morphometric analysis to understand landscape processes, tectonic activity, and drainage evolution across diverse geological settings. We welcome studies that utilise traditional and advanced morphometric tools for quantitative geomorphology. Contributions that integrate morphometric data with field observations, geochronology, sedimentology, erosion rates, or geophysical modelling are encouraged. This session aims to showcase emerging methodologies and detailed interpretations of morphometric signatures across diverse tectonic settings, climate regimes, and deformation patterns.
